Description:
2-Bromopentafluoropropene (2BPFP) is an isoxazolidine that reacts with a variety of nucleophiles, including isobutane, pseudouridine, and acylation reactions. This reaction can be used to synthesize pyrimidines. 2BPFP also undergoes an oxidative dimerization reaction with 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition to form a bicyclic system. Fluoride has been shown to react with 2BPFP in an elimination reaction.
