Description

1-Bromomethyl-2,2-difluorocyclopropane is a modulator of the fibroblast growth factor receptor. It has been shown to modulate the activity of neurotrophic factors and to have neuroprotective effects in animal models for Parkinson's disease. 1-Bromomethyl-2,2-difluorocyclopropane binds to the receptor for fibroblast growth factor and modulates its activity by coordinating with other proteins. The modification of 1-bromomethyl-2,2-difluorocyclopropane at the 2 position of the cyclopropane ring may alter its biological activity. This compound has been shown to be effective in inhibiting phospholipidosis in cells that are treated with 1-bromomethyl-2,2-difluorocyclopropane.END>>
