2-Bromo-4'-trifluoromethyl-1,1'-biphenyl is a monocyclic, c6 alkyl, ulceration, alkenyl, bicyclic ring, c4 alkyl, solvates, hydroxamic, trifluoromethyl and cycloalkyl group with an inhibitor ring system that incorporates. It is used to treat ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. This agent inhibits the activity of certain enzymes such as cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase that are responsible for the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes. The 2-bromo-4'-trifluoromethyl-1,1'-biphenyl has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of cyclooxygenase in vitro.
