1-Benzyl-3-Bromo-5-Fluoro-1H-1,2,4-Triazole is a cytostatic agent that inhibits the enzyme sulfatase. The cytostatic activity of this compound has been demonstrated in a number of tumour cell lines. This drug is also used as a linker group for the synthesis of drug conjugates and as a linker moiety in steroid conjugates. 1-Benzyl-3-Bromo-5-Fluoro-1H-1,2,4-Triazole can be synthesized by reacting 1,2,4 triazole with bromobenzene and sodium cyanide in the presence of an acid acceptor.
