1,1-Bis(4-chlorophenyl)-2,2,2-trifluoroethanol (BTFE) is an effective dose for the treatment of cancer. BTFE is a cytotoxic agent that inhibits the growth of cancer stem cells and induces cell cycle arrest in G1 phase. It also inhibits the production of various proinflammatory cytokines and growth factors. The use of this drug has been shown to inhibit cancer in mice with body mass index (BMI) ≥25. This drug can be used in conjunction with other chemotherapeutic agents or radiation therapy. It has also been shown to be effective against otoacoustic emissions in guinea pigs.
BTFE is a pyrimidine compound that inhibits cancer by blocking enzymes involved in DNA synthesis and repair processes. It inhibits the activity of DNA polymerase α and β, as well as topoisomerase IIα and IVβ, thereby preventing replication and transcription processes respectively.
