Product Information
3,5-Bis[(2-fluorophenyl)methylene]-4-piperidinone (3FPM) is a curcumin analog that has been shown to potently inhibit cancer cell growth in vivo. 3FPM inhibits the mitochondrial membrane potential and reactive oxygen species production in K562 cells. It also causes apoptotic changes in cells by activating the pro-inflammatory cytokines tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis inducing ligand (TRAIL), interferon gamma related apoptosis inducing ligand (IRL), and interleukin 1β related apoptosis inducing ligand (IL1β). 3FPM has low bioavailability due to its poor solubility.
