Description

The reaction rate of N-[Bis(aziridin-1-yl)phosphoryl]-4-fluoro-benzamide (NAPB) to form aziridinium ions is slow, which means that it is not a good candidate for drug development. However, NAPB has been shown to be effective in treating Alzheimer's disease, depression and other neurological disorders. It also has the potential to be used as a therapeutic agent for traumatic brain injury. NAPB is an ionic liquid with a melting point of −55°C and a boiling point of 265°C. When dissolved in water, it can be used as an antiseptic or disinfectant.
