1,1-Bis(4-Fluorophenyl)-2-(1,2,4-Triazol-1-Yl)Ethanol is a selective aromatase inhibitor that can be used to treat estrogen-dependent breast cancer. This drug inhibits the biosynthesis of estradiol and has an inhibitory effect on the production of estradiol by inhibiting aromatase. The inhibition of estradiol synthesis in the ovary leads to a decrease in follicle growth and ovulation, thereby reducing estrogen levels in plasma. The use of 1,1-Bis(4-Fluorophenyl)-2-(1,2,4-Triazol-1-Yl)Ethanol is limited by its side effects such as nausea and vomiting.
