6-[3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine (6FTPDA) is an ether that has been shown to be a photocatalyst for the removal of organic compounds from water. 6FTPDA's photocatalytic activity can be increased by modifying its surface with titanium. This compound can also be used in environmental pollution remediation through the use of centrifuging to remove organic compounds from water.
