Product Information
5-Chloro-2-nitropyridine is an isomeric form of 2-chloropyridine that has a receptor affinity for the receptor-2 (Ki = 0.8 μM). It can be obtained by chromatographic separation of nitro and halide derivatives of 6-aminonicotinic acid. The synthesis of 5-chloro-2-nitropyridine can be scaled up to produce large quantities, which makes it possible to use this compound in the laboratory as a nucleophilic reagent. The reactions are performed in dimethylformamide at room temperature and pressure.
