Product Information
Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that is used for the treatment of chronic pain and inflammation. Diclofenac has been shown to inhibit locomotor activity, reduce transcriptomic changes, and alter cell signaling in mice. It also blocks pain pathways by binding to opioid receptors. Diclofenac has been shown to decrease plasma glucose levels and chronic pain in mice with neuropathic pain models. It may also be useful as a pharmacological treatment for inflammatory pain, based on its high affinity binding to the peripheral cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1). The efficacy of diclofenac was tested in knockout mice and was found to have no effect on acute or inflammatory pain models.
