7-Chloro-5-(2-Fluorophenyl)-1,3-Dihydro-3-Hydroxy-1-Methyl-2H-1,4-Benzodiazepin-2-One is a drug that inhibits the proliferation of cells and binds to the targetable binding site. It has been shown to be useful for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. This drug has been shown to bind to proteins in cells that produce gamma amino butyric acid (GABA) and modulate GABA receptors. 7CHLORO5-(2FLUOROPHENYL)-1,3DIAZEPINONE also inhibits the production of prostaglandins and other fatty acids, which may be due to its ability to inhibit enzyme activity.
