Product Information
Dacomitinib is a potent inhibitor of tyrosine kinase activity. It inhibits the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR), which are important for cell proliferation and survival. Dacomitinib has been shown to be effective against metastatic colorectal cancer and solid tumours, such as prostate cancer. In vitro studies have shown that dacomitinib inhibits the polymerase chain reaction and decreases the synthesis of DNA in rat liver microsomes, which may be due to its binding to the heme moiety of cytochrome P450 enzymes.
