Description:

N-(2-Carboxyphenyl)pyrrole is a compound that can be found in nature. It has been shown to have selective activity against trypanosomes; it was the most active of the compounds tested in an oxidative cyclization assay. N-(2-Carboxyphenyl)pyrrole is also used as a starting material in the synthesis of other drugs, such as anthranilic acid and carboxylic acids. This compound has been shown to have intramolecular oxidative cyclization activity and may be used for screening purposes.
