2-Chloro-6-(trifluoromethyl)aniline is a reactive compound that reacts with the active site of streptokinase, which is an enzyme involved in the process of clot dissolution. It has been shown to increase the patency of coronary arteries and improve cardiac function following ischaemic injury. 2-Chloro-6-(trifluoromethyl)aniline also activates creatine kinase, which is an enzyme involved in muscle energy production, and increases blood sampling rates from neutrophils, leucocytes, and platelets. 2-Chloro-6-(trifluoromethyl)aniline has been shown to be statistically significant for infarct size reduction in mice following reperfusion.
