Product Information
- Benzene,Trifluoromethylsulfonyloxycopper
Copper(i) trifluoromethanesulfonate benzene complex is a bicyclic heterocycle that can be synthesized by the reaction of copper(i) triflate with an acylation reagent. This compound is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial that inhibits nitrite reductase, which is an enzyme found in bacteria. Copper(i) trifluoromethanesulfonate benzene complex has been shown to inhibit the growth of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and other bacterial strains, including Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Enterococcus faecalis. The asymmetric synthesis of this compound has been developed to reduce the cost associated with production.
