Product Information
- 2-Chlor-3-fluor-4-iodpyridin
- Pyridine, 2-Chloro-3-Fluoro-4-Iodo-
2-Chloro-3-fluoro-4-iodopyridine is a synthetic chemical compound that can be used to synthesize the antibiotic lavendamycin. It is a lithiation agent and can be used in cross-coupling reactions. 2-Chloro-3-fluoro-4-iodopyridine has been shown to produce antifungal and antibacterial activity as well as cytotoxicity against cancer cells. This chemical compound has also been shown to be an effective coupling agent for organic synthesis of polyaromatic compounds, yielding high yields of cross coupling products. The intermediate formed by the lithiation reaction with 2,6-dimethylaniline can be converted into a pyridine ring system using Suzuki cross coupling reactions with boronic acids or boronates.
