Product Information
- 4-Quinolinecarboxylic Acid, 7-Chloro-8-Methyl-2-Phenyl-
7-Chloro-8-methyl-2-phenylquinoline-4-carboxylic acid (7CQCA) is a small molecule that has been shown to inhibit the transcriptional activity of NF-κB, which is an inflammatory signaling molecule. 7CQCA also inhibits leukostasis and activated endothelial cells, leading to the death of these cells. 7CQCA was shown to be safe in clinical studies with no adverse effects at doses up to 500 mg/kg. The antiangiogenic properties of 7CQCA may be due to its ability to inhibit the transcriptional activity of NF-κB, which controls the expression of genes involved in inflammation and angiogenesis.
