Description

Cyclohexanecarbohydrazide is a fluorescent-labeled ligand that can be used as a probe for the detection of palladium complexes. Cyclohexanecarbohydrazide is not an inhibitor, but has been shown to bind to aminopyridine and form a molecular complex with it. This complex has been observed by nmr spectroscopy and cyclohexanecarbohydrazide's fluorescence emission intensity was found to be dependent on the concentration of aminopyridine in solution. Cyclohexanecarbohydrazide also binds to dyslipidemia-related enzyme compounds and alters their binding affinity for their substrates, which may lead to new treatments for hypercholesterolemia and diabetes. In addition, cyclohexanecarbohydrazide has been shown to inhibit proliferation of leukemia cells, which may provide insights into how cancer cells grow.
