Description:
2-[(2-Chlorobenzyl)oxy]benzaldehyde (2CB) is a benzene compound that has been shown to have significant activity against mitochondrial membrane and apoptosis. 2CB is a mitochondrial agent that binds to the mitochondrial membrane, which leads to mitochondrial damage and cell death. It also inhibits the synthesis of DNA and RNA, causing cellular cycle arrest and DNA fragmentation. 2CB has been shown to be an anticancer agent with hydrogen bond interaction with dna.
