Description:

2-[(Chloroacetyl)amino]benzamide is a quinazolinone derivative that has shown anticancer activity in vitro. It is a selective inhibitor of the uptake of cancer cells, and has been shown to be cytotoxic against human lung cancer (Hep-2) cells. The compound also possesses hypotensive properties, which means it decreases blood pressure by dilating blood vessels and reducing the amount of fluid that is built up in the body. 2-[(Chloroacetyl)amino]benzamide may have potential as an anti-cancer drug for epidermoid carcinoma (skin cancer), ovarian, and other cancers.
