Description

4-(Chloromethyl)-2-(4-methylphenyl)-1,3-thiazole is an insoluble compound that is a surface active agent. It has been shown to be effective in detergent compositions and oral care products. It is biodegradable and can be used as a cleaning agent for hydroxyapatite surfaces. 4-(Chloromethyl)-2-(4-methylphenyl)-1,3-thiazole also has the ability to remove plaque and tartar from teeth due to its acidic nature. This compound has been shown to have an effect on the pH of the mouth, with an acidic pH being more favorable for remineralization of tooth enamel.
