2-[(4-Chlorophenyl)amino]acetohydrazide (4-CPAH) is a polymerization inhibitor that has been shown to have anticancer activity against cancer cells. It inhibits the formation of microtubules, which are important for cell division. 4-CPAH binds to the active site of tubulin, preventing polymerization and therefore inhibiting cell division. This drug has been tested on Molt-4 tumor cells and found to be effective in inhibiting their growth. In addition, 4-CPAH has shown no toxicity in mice at doses up to 5g/kg.
