Product Information
- glycine, N-cycloheptyl-
Cycloheptylaminoacetic acid is a non-peptide antagonist drug that binds to the β2-adrenergic receptor. It is used in the treatment of cancer, inflammation, and other conditions. Cycloheptylaminoacetic acid has been shown to have a potent annealing effect on DNA, which may be due to its ability to form covalent bonds with guanine residues in DNA. Cycloheptylaminoacetic acid has also been shown to inhibit the binding of β2-adrenergic agonists by displacing them from their receptors. This drug also functions as a carboxylate group and inhibits the function of phosphodiesterase enzymes that are involved in regulating intracellular levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP).
