Description:
5-(4-Chlorophenyl)-4-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol is a heterocyclic aromatic compound. It is an antigen that interacts with the dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) and thymidine kinase (TK) enzymes by binding to their active sites. 5-(4-Chlorophenyl)-4-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol has been shown to be nontoxic in animal cancer studies. In addition, this drug has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mice and human cancers. This drug binds to modules on the surface of cells and monovalent binding leads to inhibition of cellular proliferation.
