Product Information
- 1H-pyrrole-2,5-dione
- 1-(3-chlorophenyl)-
The compound 1-(3-chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrrole-2,5-dione is a synthetic cannabinoid with a high inhibitory effect on the endocannabinoid system. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) and diacylglycerol lipase (DAGL), two enzymes that hydrolyze the endocannabinoids anandamide and 2-arachidonoyl glycerol, respectively. The inhibition of FAAH by 1-(3-chlorophenyl)-1H-pyrrole-2,5-dione causes increased levels of anandamide in cells. This compound also inhibits the activity of lipases, which are enzymes that break down triglycerides into fatty acids and glycerols. The inhibition of these lipases leads to decreased production of arachidonic acid and oleic acid, which are substrates for prostaglandin synthesis.
