Description:
2-Chloro-N-(4-phenoxyphenyl)acetamide is a linker that inhibits the production of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) and other viruses. It has antiviral activity against HCMV, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of viral DNA and RNA, as well as the protein synthesis of host cells infected with HCMV. 2-Chloro-N-(4-phenoxyphenyl)acetamide also has inhibitory activity against human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1).
