Description

4-Chloro-1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid is a chemical compound that has affinity for organic solvents. The molecular modelling of this compound showed that it binds to the mycotoxin, 4-chloro-3,5-dinitrobenzaldehyde, and salicylic acid. The experimental constant was calculated using molecular modelling and was found to be 0.9. This molecule also has antimicrobial properties against organisms such as Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella typhimurium and Staphylococcus aureus.
