Cyclopropylmethylmethylamine is a heterocycle with medicinal properties. It is an antagonist and can be used as an additive in medicines. This heterocycle has been shown to have the ability to inhibit the release of neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine, noradrenaline, and 5-hydroxytryptamine from nerve endings. Cyclopropylmethylamine also inhibits the enzyme cyclooxygenase, which converts arachidonic acid into prostaglandins. This compound is not active against bacteria or fungi, but has shown cytotoxic effects on human cell lines in vitro.
