N-(4-Chlorophenyl)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine is a chemical compound that has been shown to be effective in treating primary pulmonary hypertension. It also has antibacterial efficacy against gram-positive bacteria and an alkanoic acid with antihypertensive activity. The compound is used as a specific treatment for muscle diseases and heart tissue. This drug inhibits the production of pyrazinoic acid from the metabolism of N-(4-chlorophenyl)-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diamine by blocking the enzyme pyrazinoyl transferase. It has been found to inhibit the synthesis of mRNA by binding to the 5'-hydroxyl group of guanosine residues in RNA molecules.
