Description:
2-Chloro-N-pyridin-2-ylacetamide is a nucleophilic drug that binds to the 5-HT1A receptor. It is an aminopyridine derivative with a chloro substituent on the pyridine ring. This drug has been shown to inhibit uptake of 5-HT in rat brain synaptosomes and to bind to the 5HT1A receptor in vitro. 2CPA also has antiplatelet activity and may be useful for treating migraine headaches. 2CPA has been shown to have minimal side effects such as nausea, vomiting, insomnia, and headache.
