Product Information
- 5-isoxazolamine
- 3-cyclopropyl-
3-Cyclopropylisoxazol-5-amine is a ketone that can be synthesized by the condensation of ethyl acetoacetate with hydroxylamine. It is used as a starting material for the synthesis of organic compounds and pharmaceuticals. 3-Cyclopropylisoxazol-5-amine reacts with anions such as chloride to form salts, which are then soluble in water. The salt formed from 3-Cyclopropylisoxazol-5-amine and hydrochloric acid is an example of this type of reaction. This salt has been used as a reagent for the chlorination of alcohols and phenols. 3-Cyclopropylisoxazol-5-amine also reacts with electrogenerated anions, such as cyanide, to form salts that are soluble in water. These reactions are called electrochemical reactions or electrogenerations.
