Description:
1-(4-Chloro-2-nitrophenyl)piperazine (1CPP) is a research chemical that was shown to have insecticidal activities in bioassays. It inhibits the ryanodine receptor, which is found in invertebrates and vertebrates. 1CPP is also able to inhibit the synthesis of anthranilic acid, an intermediate in the insecticide piperazine. This research chemical may be useful as a pesticide and insecticide for controlling insects such as mosquitos.
