Description:

2-Cyano-N-(4-ethoxyphenyl)acetamide is an anticancer agent that inhibits the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and protein. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. 2-Cyano-N-(4-ethoxyphenyl)acetamide also inhibits the activity of caspases and other enzymes involved in apoptosis. This drug is metabolized by cytochrome P450 to a coumarin derivative, which may be responsible for its inhibitory effects on tumor growth.
