Product Information
CGI-1746 is a small molecule with potential anti-cancer activity. It is a fluorogenic probe that can be used to assess the viability of prostate cancer cells in vitro. CGI-1746 has also been shown to inhibit the growth of xenograft tumors in mice by inhibiting protein kinase activities and induction of apoptosis. CGI-1746 selectively inhibits HER2+ breast cancer cell growth, but does not affect normal human cells or other types of cancer cells. This drug binds to the carbonyl group of proteins and monoclonal antibodies against this region may be developed as an immunotherapy for HER2+ breast cancer.
