Product Information
Chromium chloride is a salt that is used in the synthesis of many organic compounds. It is made by the reaction of chromium, hydrogen chloride, and sodium dichromate. The nitrogen atoms in chromium chloride are essential for its asymmetric synthesis. Chromium chloride is also used as an adjuvant in tissue culture to stimulate antibody production and as a reagent to detect antibodies in a monoclonal antibody assay. In addition, it can be used to measure acid-base reactions and mass spectrometry. The molecular weight of chromium chloride is 227.2 g/mol and its chemical formula is CrCl2.
