Description:
4-Chloro-7-methoxy-6-nitroquinazoline is an inhibitor of protein kinases and growth factors. It has been shown to have inhibitory activities against tyrosine phosphorylation, which may be due to its ability to bind to the ATP binding site of the enzyme. 4-Chloro-7-methoxy-6-nitroquinazoline also has inhibitory effects on cellular proliferation in a variety of cancer cell lines, including melanoma, prostate cancer, breast cancer, and pancreatic cancer. This drug has also been shown to induce regression in mouse xenografts and rat tumors.
