Product Information
5-Chloroquinazoline is a potential drug for the treatment of cancer. It inhibits the activity of tyrosine kinase, which is a protein that transmits signals to cells. The inhibition of tyrosine kinase prevents the growth of cancer cells and leads to cell death. 5-Chloroquinazoline has been shown to inhibit epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor signaling in breast and prostate cancer cells. This drug also inhibits EGF-induced proliferation in vitro and angiogenesis in vivo with no adverse effects on normal tissue.
