Product Information
4-Chlorothieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine is a chemical compound that has been shown to have antibacterial activity. It has a safety profile and can be synthesized in a scalable manner. This compound inhibits the growth of cancer cells in laboratory studies by blocking the cell cycle and inducing apoptosis, or programmed cell death. 4-Chlorothieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine also has an anticancer activity against human breast cancer cells, inhibiting cellular proliferation and inducing apoptosis. 4-Chlorothieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine is able to inhibit the response pathway of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) by binding to the EGFR ligand binding site on its extracellular domain. This prevents activation of downstream signaling pathways that promote cell survival and proliferation.
