Product Information
3-Chloro-6-phenylpyridazine is a butyrophenone that binds to the 5-ht2a receptor, which is an important neurotransmitter receptor in the brain. 3-Chloro-6-phenylpyridazine has been shown to inhibit the binding of [3H]5-HT to rat cortical membranes at concentrations of 10 μM. However, it has low efficiency and an ancillary effect on this receptor. 3-Chloro-6-phenylpyridazine also binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, which are important for the transmission of nerve impulses. This drug has a profile that is similar to α7 nicotinic acetylcholine (α7nAChR) test compounds, such as dihydrodiisopropylamine (DHA). DHA inhibits chloride currents through α7nAChR channels and its effects are blocked by 3-[
