Product Information
(2-Chloropyridin-4-yl)methanamine hydrochloride (CPI) is a selective inhibitor of the extracellular matrix protease, matrix metalloproteinase (MMP), which has been shown to be related to the pathogenesis of cardiac hypertrophy. CPI inhibits the production of growth factors and collagen in cancer cells, as well as MMPs in cardiac cells. CPI is used to inhibit fibrillation in the heart by inhibiting MMPs that are involved in microenvironmental degradation of collagen. In addition, CPI can also inhibit oxidative enzymes such as oxidases.
