Product Information
N-(2-Chlorophenyl)-1H-indole-3-carboxamide is a potent antibacterial agent that inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to the ribosomal protein L11. It has been shown to be effective against both Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). N-(2-Chlorophenyl)-1H-indole-3-carboxamide also has antioxidant properties in vitro and in vivo. The structure of this compound has been analyzed using molecular docking analysis, which revealed site specific binding to the ribosomal protein L11. The thermal expansion properties of this compound have been studied using a phase transition temperature measurement technique, which showed an increase in volume when heated.
