Description

2-Chloro-6-methoxybenzoic acid is a fungicidal synthetic compound that has been shown to be effective against a variety of plant pathogens. It inhibits the biosynthesis of isocoumarins, which are secondary metabolites in plants. 2-Chloro-6-methoxybenzoic acid has also been shown to have low toxicity and selectivity in plant growth and to have an inhibitory effect on the growth of some bacteria at low concentrations. In addition, this chemical has been shown to have bioactivity against some fungi.
