Description

1-(2-Chloroethyl)-piperidine is a nitrogenous organic compound that exhibits antimicrobial activity. It binds to the estrogen receptor and blocks the binding of estradiol, which leads to the inhibition of growth and proliferation in cancer cells. 1-(2-Chloroethyl)piperidine also inhibits efflux pump activity and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.
