Description:

cis-1,2-Cyclohexanedicarboximide is a cross-linking agent that contains a hydroxy group in the side chain. It can be used as a divalent bioactive molecule and an acidic molecule. cis-1,2-Cyclohexanedicarboximide has been shown to have polymerization properties that are comparable to those of poly(ethylene oxide) in the presence of strong acids such as sulfuric acid. cis-1,2-Cyclohexanedicarboximide also has the ability to act as a polymerization initiator for reactions involving water and for reactions with polar solvents such as alcohols and acetone. This compound is biodegradable.
