Description:
6-Chloro-2-tetralone is a non-steroidal inhibitor of the 5α-reductase enzyme. It is an acid inhibitor that can be used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). 6-Chloro-2-tetralone inhibits the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and has been shown to be effective in the treatment of BPH. This compound is also a phosphinic acid inhibitor, which has been shown to inhibit phospholipase A2, thereby reducing inflammation.
