Description:
2-Cyclopropyl-acetamidine is a dipeptidyl lactam that inhibits the formation of the lactam ring by reacting with a free amine group. It is an active agent that can be used for the treatment of diseases caused by bacteria. 2-Cyclopropyl-acetamidine prevents bacterial growth by inhibiting the formation of the lactam ring in peptidoglycan, which is required for bacterial cell wall synthesis and therefore causes cell death.
