Product Information
- 7-hydroxy-2-oxo-2H-chromene-3-carbonitrile
3-Cyano-7-hydroxycoumarin is a chemical compound that can be used as an analytical method. It has been shown to have hypoglycemic activity in rats and can inhibit the drug interactions of oral hypoglycaemic drugs. 3-Cyano-7-hydroxycoumarin also inhibits NADPH cytochrome P450 (P450) activity and may be useful for determining the concentration-time curve of drugs that are metabolized by P450 enzymes. 3-Cyano-7-hydroxycoumarin is metabolized through a number of metabolic transformations, including hydrolysis by esterases or glucuronidases, oxidation by cytochrome P450 enzymes, reduction by glutathione reductase, or conjugation with glucuronic acid. This chemical compound has been shown to have a kinetic effect on polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification and binding to human cytochrome P450 3
