2-(2-Chloroacetamido-5-bromobenzoyl)pyridine is a small molecule that has been studied for its potential use as an anti-cancer agent. This compound binds to the active site of DNA polymerase, inhibiting its function and disrupting DNA synthesis. 2-(2-Chloroacetamido-5-bromobenzoyl)pyridine has a hydrogen bond with the carbonyl group on the benzoyl group in the crystal structure. The crystallographic data shows that this compound has dimers and orthorhombic crystals. 2-(2-Chloroacetamido-5-bromobenzoyl)pyridine also forms intermolecular hydrogen bonds with other molecules of the same kind.
