Product Information

Name:
4-Cyclopentylmorpholine
Description:

4-Cyclopentylmorpholine is a binder that can be used in the preparation of adhesives and other polymeric materials. It reacts with amines to form divalent heterocycles. 4-Cyclopentylmorpholine binds to carbonyl groups, which are found in many organic substances and may also react with peroxide to form a divalent hydrocarbon. The reaction of 4-cyclopentylmorpholine with diamines yields an organic ligand called phthalimide. 4-Cyclopentylmorpholine may be used as a photoinitiator in photopolymerization reactions because it produces peroxides upon exposure to light. The chemical reactions of this compound are similar to those of model complexes, such as octaethylporphyrin and monoethylanthracene.
